Frequently Asked Questions
Are all pieces one-of-a-kind?
Yes. Every miniature artwork is handmade and individually crafted, meaning no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Even when inspired by similar themes, each work has its own character, textures, and story.
How do commissions work?
You start by filling in the Commission Form with your idea, reference photos, or any details you'd like included. I’ll then contact you by email to discuss the concept, size, style, timeframe, and pricing.
Once we agree on the details, a 20% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
How long does a commission take?
Each piece is handmade, so timeframes vary depending on complexity. Smaller commissions may take a few weeks, while larger or highly detailed works can take 1–2 months.
A clearer timeframe will always be discussed during consultation.
Can you recreate a specific building or place?
Yes. Many commissions are inspired by meaningful places — childhood homes, family businesses, favourite cafés, pubs, shopfronts, or buildings connected to personal memories.
The more reference photos you can provide, the more accurate the final piece can be.
Do I need reference photos?
Reference photos are always helpful, but not essential. Even if you only have a few images — or simply memories of a place — we can discuss ways to recreate the atmosphere and meaningful details in miniature form.
What themes can I commission?
Anything meaningful to you. Popular requests include:
• Beloved shopfronts or pubs
• Family homes or childhood streets
• Buildings with personal or cultural significance
• Interior room scenes inspired by memory
• Cinematic, nostalgic, or atmospheric concepts
• Memorial or meaningful keepsake pieces
Are commissions framed?
Most architectural façade pieces are framed and ready for display. Interior dioramas and larger works may be presented differently depending on the design, scale, and concept of the piece.
Do I receive a certificate of authenticity?
Yes. Every original artwork and commission comes signed, dated, and with a certificate of authenticity.
How do payments work?
For shop purchases, full payment is made at checkout.
For commissions, a 20% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
What materials do you use?
I mainly work with wood, card, plaster, mixed media, and recycled materials, carefully weathered and layered to create texture, atmosphere, and realism.
Each piece is finished with durable sealants to help preserve its appearance over time.
Do you ship internationally?
UK shipping is currently available.
If you're based internationally and interested in a piece, feel free to get in touch and I’ll happily discuss available options.
Can I commission a gift or memorial piece?
Absolutely. Many commissions are created to celebrate meaningful memories, favourite places, loved ones, or personal stories.
Whether it’s a childhood home, a beloved local shop, or a place filled with sentimental value, I aim to create something deeply personal and lasting.
